The Business Faculty of the University of Applied Sciences Darmstadt, Germany is currently looking for a Guest
Lecturer to teach the following for the winter term 2019/ 2020 for the MSc Business Administration program
(beginning in October 2019):

Supply Chain Management

The scope of the teaching assignment is 48 hours for the winter term. The course can be offered as a weekly
seminar (16 weeks) between 7 October 2019 and 31 January 2020 or as a block seminar including Saturday and
evening lecturers (3-4 weeks). There are approx. 20-30 students in this course.
A written exam must be taken at the end of the course.
The duties of the Guest Lecturer include preparing for and conducting seminars, responding to students' email
queries, administration and undertaking the assessment marking. Computers and beamers are available at the
university on the Dieburg campus.
Contents:
The course should cover the following topics:
• Introduction to supply chain management
• strategies in supply chain management
• design models (e.g. SCOR)
• network decisions
• supply chain management concepts such as global sourcing etc.
• supply chain planning
• supply chain controlling
Course language: English.
Candidate Requirements:
It is desirable for the applicant to have:
• extensive practical experience in Supply Chain Management
• a Master degree in Business Administration or equivalent in a similar discipline
• teaching experience and prior experience in a similar role
International exchange program
We welcome international guest lecturers from our partner universities for this position. As part of our H-DA
international exchange program we provide travel expenses as well as a monthly stipend and support with
housing during your stay.
